An insanely tasty pasta dish which can be made with or without prawns. Taking just 20 minutes to cook, it's the perfect quick and easy dinner which can be added to your weekly schedule! Serve with crusty garlic bread if you're not watching the pounds!
“Perfect when you're short on ingredients, have less than 30 minutes and just want to get dinner on the go ASAP!”

Real quick & easy dinner
An all time favourite pasta dish of mine. Taking under 20 mins for the whole dish, it makes for a simple but so tasty dinner after work. Aside from that though if you're having guests round for dinner, or cooking for a date this is also the PERFECT meal, suiting both non veggies and veggies, and going so perfectly with a glass of white wine. I hope you LOVE it!
*Note - You can add king prawns to this recipe just fry them off in butter beforehand for 4-6 minutes and then remove from pan and add back to the dish right at the end.
Ingredients:
2 teaspoons of butter
Drizzle of olive oil
1-2 crushed or chopped garlic bulb
King prawns (optional)
6-8 mushrooms (Any will work!)
3/4 of a bag of spinach (Seems like a lot but it will wilt down!)
Salt & Pepper to taste
Tagliatelle pasta (Fresh or dry)
Parmesan cheese/Parmigiana (Grated)
100ml Double cream
1/4 cup white wine
1/2 chicken stock dissolved in 1/4 cup of water
Dried or fresh parsley to garnish
A side of garlic bread (Optional)
Method:
Boil some water in a pan and salt the water well. Don't ever boil anything without salting the water! Add your pasta, and cook according to packet instructions.
As soon as you've got the pasta on, heat a pan (high heat) wait for it to be really hot, and then add your butter and olive oil. Turn the heat down to medium and then add your crushed garlic and cook for a minute.
This is the time to add your prawns. Cook them for 5-6 minutes if raw, and if they're cooked then cook them for just 2-3 minutes. Take out of pan and set aside.
If you've skipped the prawn part, then after a minute cooking the garlic, add your mushrooms and fry off for 3 minutes on a medium heat until browned.
This is the time to now add your white wine! The pan will sizzle loads, and you have to cook the wine off on a medium hear for 2-3 minutes. Let the wine reduce (if it doesn't cook off it will taste bitter) and it will then thicken.
Now add your stock, and stir. Now you can add your double cream and turn heat down slightly, and let the sauce simmer and thicken.
Time to add your spinach! It looks like shit loads but it will all wilt down into nothing trust me.
Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and some Parmesan cheese (a small handful) this will thicken your sauce.
Time to add your prawns back in if your having the non-veggie option, but otherwise just add your drained tagliatelle to the sauce! Toss it around in the pan.
Et voila! Sprinkle with some optional parsley, and a tonne of Parmesan cheese, and DIVE IN!
